Compliance and Standards Engineer
Nucleus Scientific seeks an experienced Compliance Engineer to assist our Engineering team in product development in the transportation field.
Assist in defining the Automotive Standards that designs must satisfy.
Coordinate teams in regards to Compliance and Standards.
Identify regulatory compliance issues present in proposed designs.
Engage Nucleus legal counsel in developing strategy to address compliance issues.
Layout long term plans and goals for a “road-ready” vehicle.
Assist engineers in defining testing requirements and in performing tests to meet various Standards.
Assist in design process to move from proof-of-concept to production ready.
Engage government agencies if needed to develop an approach to address compliance issues.
Provide representation at various Automotive Standards’ committees and groups.
Operate with autonomy in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment.
Knowledge and understanding of automotive safety and design standards.
Defining design and documentation requirements pertaining to Compliance and Standards.
Ability to manage a variety of engineering personalities to achieve a common goal.
Interfacing with Compliance and Standards committees.
Strong technical background along with a desire to learn new technologies.
BS or MS in relevant engineering field.
3+ years experience in Compliance and Standards work in the automotive field
Experience in taking a design through Compliance and Standards’ testing.
Experiences in law and public policy are helpful.
