Nucleus Scientific seeks a talented Mechanical Engineer to join our growing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing mechanical and electromechanical products for efficient transportation technologies and systems.
Developing and inventing new concepts for transportation and efficiency products
Designing, assembling and supporting electro-mechanical parts and assemblies
Developing manufacturing processes through design and modification of equipment for fabricating, building, assembling, and installing components.
Assuring system and product quality by designing testing methods; testing finished- product and system capabilities; helping to monitor fabrication, assembly, and installation processes.
Investigate equipment failures and difficulties to diagnose faulty operation
Recommend design modifications to eliminate machine or system malfunctions or make product or process improvements
Confer with engineers and other personnel to implement operating procedures and provide technical information
Ensuring compliance with government regulations
Writing performance requirements and specifications for equipment and maintaining design history documentation
Working with vendors on product specifications and mechanical component selection.
Experience and Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering minimum (Master’s preferred)
5+ years related Mechanical Engineering experience.
Strong knowledge of CAD/CAM, SolidWorks and PDM
Solid knowledge of mechanical theories, design principles and practices and design evaluation techniques.
Excellent communication and presentation skills to properly communicate with peers and members of the management team.
Excellent prioritization and project development skills
